Many of the responses have spoken positively about UFLI, or UFLI Foundations, a highly popular phonics program based on the “Science of Reading”. It is designed to teach students explicit, systematic foundational literacy skills like letter-sound recognition, decoding, and spelling.

However, is it the silver bullet for teaching reading or is it another evolution of phonics instruction. Many teachers have gone through Letterland and Jolly Phonics and others. Promoters of the scheme are very enthusiastic.
