The Modern Golden Calf Story
Anyone that studied the Bible might remember the story of the Golden Calf. While Moses climbed Mount Sinai to get the Ten Commandments from God, the Israelites built a giant Golden Calf, which they danced around and worshipped. When Moses started his descent his saw his people fawning over this false idol and, in anger, smashed them to the ground. Despite knowing they were wrong, the Israelites were angry at Moses, not because he was right but because he called out their wrong.
