This is the official union podcast. This is the first one that’s been of interest to me, not because of the guests, who both do very well, but because of the presenter. Because this is a subject that’s really close to my heart – I am the only primary school leader from an ethnic minority – even the title of the podcast annoyed me. (The answer is obviously no and what was the need for the word “really” in the title?) It’s also weird that the regular presenter of the podcast bowed out for this one. I honestly don’t think the INTO take this issue seriously enough. Sheyi and Kathleen speak very well and outline the same struggles and barriers that we’ve known about for many many years. I guess I have to give them credit for covering the topic at all even if it’s taken 17 episodes to do so.
