This month I learned a new word: quantum, which according to the Cambridge dictionary is the smallest amount or unit of something, especially energy. The term was used three times in one of the most bizarre statements I’ve ever experienced in my career from the Irish Primary Principals’ Network who decided to turn on their own members when they criticised the Department of Education’s decision to cut the complex needs criteria from SET Allocations.
